Moorland Walk

Today we went for a lovely spring walk, all we could hear were the Curlews calling, so peaceful, its such a beautiful time of year*~*
I'd love to see the gorse in bloom again* And in the morning hear the chaffinch sing* And hear the curlew piping in the bog* As carolling skylark towards the cloud world wing *~*~*~*~*~*Francis Duggan

  5. Hi Thea: Now that's what Spring should look like!! It is beautiful and so are your photographs. Is gorse the same as Scotch Broom? It looks the same and the Cornish miners brought it here to Grass Valley during the Gold Rush time and now they are organizing work parties to get rid of it because they say it is a fire hazard. What a shame. I love the look of it in Springtime..Happy Spring..Judy

  6. Hi Judy Thank you for your kind words, I think Gorse is related to the Broom family, but it is full of thorns and not as invasive, it does grow wild on the Cornish moors.
