My Dresser *~*

I have always loved the idea of a dresser, not only for the storage but so I could display my china and prettiness
So when my dear Aunt left me some money in her will it was the first thing I bought. We were living in Cornwall at the time and I found a reconditioned pine one in a tiny shop in Lostwithiel
I kept it just as it was light pine, and it fitted in well at the cottage. When we moved house, there was room in the kitchen for the dresser, but it didn't look right, it needed a makeover, so I painted and waxed it and it made such a difference
I love playing about and I am for ever changing and displaying different bits and bobs, this is what is on the dresser at the moment....
As autumn approaches it will all change!

  7. Your dresser looks so pretty Thea. I love all your china, pretty cake stands and rose garland. They all stand out so well against the white painted wood. I hope you enjoyed your cakes. I'm sure they didn't last very long!

  8. A lovely dresser. Our kitchen is too small to have one but I would love to one day have a kitchen large enough for a dresser like yours!

  11. I have to agree with you, although I do love wood there are times when it just has to be made white or cream coloured and then it clicks and fits in so much better. I love your displays and it's so good to change with your moods or the seaons etc. x
