Last Autumn on a trip to The Highlands, Fin and I stopped on the edge of Loch Ness to take in the view, it was late afternoon and just as we stood on the shores the clouds parted and the rays of sun shone down , sunbeams glistened on the water, it was one of those magical moments we shall never forget...
The view was breathtaking with just the sound of the water lapping the shoreline...
Looking back behind us, the autumn trees displaying their colours...

Beautiful photographs - it is a wonderful part of the world and it has been far too long since we were there. Camping and midges are not a great mix if I remember correctly! Coming home is always poignant...

Hello Thea,
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures and beautiful memories for you to look back on!
I loved your earlier post too Thea, just didn't get chance to leave a comment, as I have had a home coming visitor!! hehe...
I loved your child hood story book and the memories attached to it about your dear father.
My child hood book was 'The enchanted wood', my big sister used to read it to us all...
Have a enchanting week.

I remember going years ago, when our eldest was just a small babe. It's such an amazing atmospheric place with a calming feeling to it that only experiencing for yourself can explain.

Nessie must of been hiding that day (always so shy!)...the area looks stunning just the same though.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see photo's of Scotland, it reminds me a lot of British Columbia in Canada..must be the pretty mountains and forests. I have never been to Scotland, it's on my lists of places to visit though (one day).
Have a lovely day today x
