Two Bunnies and an Angel*~*

As the weather has been so rotten I thought it was a good chance to sew a few more pressies for Christmas (and for me of course )

I used an old woollen blanket for the bunnies and made their clothes from  a "vintage" skirt and blouse that had past its sell by date!

Meet Maude she is wearing a brown floral little number....

Crochet shoes....

And matching hat**

Then along came Flora...

She is wearing a white and blue ditsy patterned  outfit ( I made this one with clothes that can be removed)
And of course a matching hat*~*

Flora the one in white is for Lette for christmas...Now for the Angel

I decided to make a large one....

So I could hang her up...

I crocheted her a pair of shoes...

She was a bit fiddly at times but I really enjoyed making her....

I think I shall make another one in red for Christmas xx

I would like to say Thank You to Claire  she has a wonderful blog and am proud to say I have won her giveaway

Thank so much to everybody who follows my blog you are all very special to me and so very kind....Thea x

Birthday Treat In the Cairngorms*~*

Last year for my birthday we took a trip to the Cairngorms so I could fulfil a dream and meet the reindeer. I have always loved seeing the reindeer at Christmas ( pulling Father Christmas through the town) but longed to see them in the wild, but apart from travelling to Scandinavia I did not think I ever would,

Then Fin read an article about the Reindeer Centre in the Cairngorms, so last October off we went. We stayed in a lovely country hotel just outside Avimore, once settled we went in search of the reindeer .... We found out that we had to turn up the next day at 10am with our £10.00 and we would be met by a member of the team who would guide us to the reindeer...so that's exactly what we did, we all met up and off we trekked...

The snow had arrived early on the mountains....

We started walking the stunning 30 minute trek ....
Crossing the burn with beautiful views before us....

.
gently climbing up and up......

and there they were......

such a wonderful sight reindeer's in the Cairngorms..

We were given special grain to feed them with...so gentle and oh so soft
Then off they went....
I had such a wonderful time, I shall never forget the day I met Rudolf ..Thank you Fin x

Sewing for Christmas*~*

Yes I know Its still early to be thinking about Christmas, but I have a lot of ideas for making pressies this year, so I have started early, I have made a few items of prettiness from the Tilda books that Fin bought for me.....

I started with the Pixie Girls....

Then Santa .....

And then I made a few hanging cones to fill with treats...

There I shall now put them away until December..now what else shall I make ( I have started a Bunny!)

Autumn Sunshine on Loch Ness*~*

Last Autumn on a trip to The Highlands, Fin and I stopped on the edge of Loch Ness to take in the view, it was late afternoon and just as we stood on the shores the clouds parted and the rays of sun shone down , sunbeams glistened on the water, it was one of those magical moments we shall never forget...

The view was breathtaking with just the sound of the water lapping the shoreline...

No sign of "Nessie" just a large boulder...

Looking back behind us, the autumn trees displaying their colours...

Time to leave this magical theatre ... back into the car and homeward bound,,, good bye Ness  x

My Childhood Books*~*

I still have a few of my childhood books although a bit battered now, this was one of my favourites
I can still remember sitting with my Daddy book in hand listening to every word, while the fire crackled and our cat Perky curled up around my feet.....
The pages have been well turned and are going brown now but I still get such a warm feeling when I look through it
Ah I've gone all gooey now..Just one more..
This was more my brothers book but I loved it as well , I wonder if it was a forerunner to Thomas the Tank Engine?

Again it is very battered but still very special
