Crochet Bunting and a new Woodland Keeper *~*

Since taking down the Christmas decorations I have thought how bare the fireplace looked...

so I made a spring Hare from a grey linen fabric...

I looked through my wool stash and thought I would try and crochet something ...

And this is what I made a crochet garland of bunting...

Beechnut is sitting next to the old books.. so now it looks much more like home....

Then I made a new little Woodland Keeper friend, she is  full of fun..

and mischief...

Meet " Wild Cherry" she tells the woodland birds and animals where to find the berries and nuts but sometimes she hides them!!

  2. I'm in love with your gorgeous woodland keepers! You are so clever Thea. I have had barely a moment to spare this week so havent done anything remotely crafty unless baking counts! I have had my grandchildren twice overnight this week and they are all consuming as you will know!Have a lovely weekendX

  6. Evening Thea
I wonder if your ears were burning this afternoon! I went for tea and cake to Violet and the Peapod - a vintage shop/cafe that sells the most gorgeous cake. I bumped into an old friend called Claire - Thriftwood - we starting talking about our favourite blogs- guess what? Your blog was one of our favourites. Thanks for sharing your new woodland friend - her crochet shoes are edible!!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  9. Your dolls look so beautiful Thea!! Love your new bunting and hare. They cheer up your mantelpiece indeed. Mine looks bare without my Christmas decorations too. Perhaps I will follow your example and make something beautiful to put on it.

    Happy new week!

  11. You've dressed your mantle up beautifully! I thought in the first pic the spring hare was wooden ... I love the look of him leaping across the mantle. Your bunting AND the new Wild Cherry are so special and make me feel all cozy. You've certainly been busy with all these creations. Have a great week! :) Wendy
