Muffins and a Sunny Morning*~*

The sun is shining here in the Moorlands this morning

As I walked down the stairs the sunbeams were dancing on the steps..a good day to make some breakfast muffins..

A Sophie Dahl  recipe

Apron on...

This is my best friend ..without him I cannot reach a thing!

I have made breakfast muffins before but they have always been a little sweet for me..so this recipe caught my eye full of natural ingredients.

They turned out well

So while they cooled down I took a stroll round the garden...the stone piggies enjoying the sun!

Maisie doing a bit of head rubbing!!

This is a very special Hellebore it was a cutting from my mums garden, It was then transplanted to my Cornwall garden and now it here with me..It is always manages to flower on Christmas Day!

The others are just coming out

Here come the Daffs !!

Back in doors for breakfast yum..
The Sun makes such a difference to a day..

  4. It felt like spring here this morning too, Thea! Your sunny morning post today captured it so well! Lovely to see the spring flowers - what a pretty hellebore and how lovely you have preserved the original cutting from your mum's garden. The muffins do look delicious!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

  5. What a cheery, sunny post!
How good your muffins look too - I've always used muffin cases but i love how yours look - do you just use a square of greaseproof paper to get that professional look? Is there a clever way of arranging it or am I just being dumb and out of touch and you buy them?!!
Gorgeous primroses, and you have a lot happening in your garden already Thea.
Wet here all morning but the sun is trying to come out as I type.
Have a great weekend and enjoy your muffins!

    1. Hello Gill
You are so sweet to say the look professional!
If you could have seen me faffing about cutting up greaseproof and then holding the darn things in place while i filled them!
I thought I would copy Miss Dahl ..But I think I shall stick to cases next time
      the giggle is on me
      Sunny Wishes

  11. This post had a lovely spring like feel to it Thea. It was sunny here (for a little while anyway) and I managed to have a walk around our garden with my youngest granddaughter. Not too much in flower but there's a promise of things to come.Lots of bulbs popping out of the soil and the shrubs and even perennials are budding or peeping out. Love the sound of the breakfast muffins too, but we are trying to watch the cals!

  17. Thea,
Your muffins look so yummy. I love muffins too, especially with my tea or coffee in the morning. The daffodils are so pretty. Flowers are the magic in our lives I think. I love your tea cup and saucer. It's always nice to come and visit with you. I always leave with a smile.

  18. Good evening Thea,

Sophie Dahl's book is good, isn't it? There are a number of recipes - the prawn curry with coconut milk and lime, for example - which we turn to again and again. They are quick, fresh, and fun. This post was as sunny as your pictures!
