A Splash of Paint makes such a Difference *~*

Hello I am back, well and full of the joys of spring..
The sun has been shining here today even though blustery at times, so I thought I would get a little bit of painting done....

I bought this sad boring shelf unit a few months ago in a C shop and had every intention of sprucing it up..but as we all know the weather has been atrocious and then I had the lurgy and then a house full ... so today I thought  I would get my paint pot out...

I had a bit of this left, so I added a little bit of water to it and off I went...

Maisie cat tried to help but soon got fed up...

So I got on with the job myself...

There after..two coats of paint and a thin layer of wax, its ready, now standing in the kitchen...

A new place to hide the cake tins...

A new place for storing potatoes and biscuit cutters...

Onions in the seed box and potatoes in the tomato box..yes I know a little confusing but it works!

On top an old painted draw full of saucepan lids...

There I am so pleased I painted it..

I have missed you all and over the next few days I shall be catching up with all your lovely blogs
Thea xx

  1. Hello Thea, I'm glad you're feeling well enough for a bit of AS therapy! What a great job you've made of the little unit ... I love that you've given a new life to something probably destined for the tip, and made it look so pretty too! It looks fab in your kitchen, as though it's always lived there ...

    Have a Terrific Tuesday!

  11. Well now that is lovely - befitting of Country Living magazine! I've only just discovered Annie Sloan paint and have actually managed to paint the cheapest woodchip Ikea chest of drawers in old white - a couple of coats of wax and they look fab! Glad you're feeling much better x Jane
