Visitors on a Cold Windy Day ....

The day is wet cold and windy...a blanket day!!
A day for wearing comfy old leggings and toasty slippers..
And who should pop in to my garden ....a beautiful fox, he looked at the bird table and then disappeared through the hedge...We rarely see foxes here in the Moorlands so a real treat
( Google Photo)

Then as I was making a cup of tea in the kitchen I spotted a Heron on the barn roof at the bottom of my garden...(this time I had my camera ready..just in case Mr Fox came back)

Just sat down with my mug of tea in the sitting room ...

Looked out into the front garden and saw a Dunnock ( hedge sparrow ) on the bird table...
Looked again and saw someone else...

 A tiny little Woodmouse...

New Life and Keeping Warm *~*

Its the time of year when we crave for signs of new growth and the tiny glimpses of things to come...
Primulas flowering in my garden,  regardless of frosty nights....
A Rose bud frozen in time waiting for the winter sun to find her....

Bulbs planted in the Autumn peeping out of their cosy beds...
Tiny Houseleeks planted in a teacup kept warm on the windowsill....

Warming bread dough sitting by the radiator....
A homemade quiche baking in the oven....

keeping the kitchen warm  ( even though it seems to be snowing hee hee! )
Winter branches brought in from the cold....
And a tiny new baby Harriet Grace wrapped up snug....Thea xx

New Year !!!

At last I have found some time to write a post and welcome in the New Year...
Christmas was full of joy with my little family... lots of food, drink and silly games ...but now all put away until next time
My lovely daughter was kept us all waiting until the 4th of January when little ...
Harriet Grace... arrived into her big new world...She is a real sweetie and the new little family are all doing well
Today has been a "me" day so I have had a walk around my garden to see what has been going on...
spent some time in my kitchen arranging the dresser.
And have had time to hang up and enjoy my new wreath...
and pretty apron...
Now I am going make a cup of tea and write in my new diary..
I shall try to catch up with you all soon ....( hope you have managed to escape the worst of this strange weather)....Love Thea xx
