Saturday in the Shropshire Countryside *~*

Saturday we took ourselves out for a drive around the Shropshire countryside...
We saw lots of sweet lambs....
lots of nosey ducks...
And of course we found a Tea Room!!
Tucked away on the edge of a village..
surrounded by a pretty courtyard garden..
which lead through to the fields beyond...
the tea room puss cat found hiding in the shrubs...
We had a lovely lunch a then jumped back in the car and continued our tour...
The farms were very busy with lambs everywhere...

We had a lovely day out with lots of stops to enjoy the spring in the sunshine...
Thank you for your words..and I am so pleased to say my Laptop is better now..Thea xx

Pretty Spring China ....*~*

I have been without my laptop (he is in hospital) as we speak, so I am limping along with Fin's "olden"
So to lift my spirits I changed the dresser china..out with the icy blues and whites..
and in with the spring pinks, violets and yellows..

While I was faffing I listened to Bella Hardy...
I love folk music especially the songs that tell "stories of old" ...
The bunnies are enjoying it too....

My newest find a Sadler teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl ...£4.00 from C Shop
Tea tray ready and waiting....
I also found a pretty jug £1.00 and china "bee box" £1.00 so very pleased...

On Saturday we popped out for lunch and I bought these...
I cannot wait now to decorate the house for Easter...I shall have to see how things go with this old laptop it is so slow!! so if I do not post for a little while ..you will know why!! ..thank you my friends Thea xx

My Day With Lovely "Rosey Maria"..*~*

Last week Fin told my that he may be visiting a job up in Cumbria near where Maria of http://roseytintedspectacles.blogspot.co.uk  lives..
So with very little time to spare I contacted Maria straight away to see if we could meet...
She was so sweet and happily said that I would be very welcome
Yesterday was a lovely spring day and Fin dropped me off at Maria's beautiful Victorian home (similar to the one  in the photo)
As I walked up the steps her sweet little cats were sunning themselves in the sunshine...and then Maria appeared ..honestly it was just like meeting an old friend...

Maria had her Rosey teapot ready and she poured me a cup of tea as I sat in her stunning Victorian kitchen full of prettiness

We just chatted as if we had known each other forever....We spoke about just absolutely everything including blogging and agreed just how many lovely people are out there (yes that's you)

Maria made me lunch and we sat in her sunlit front room ..her home is so welcoming it wraps its arms around you, full of beautiful things and love
After lunch we walked into town, it was such a lovely spring day...
and we popped into Bumble Bee at the Hive where Maria works...
A little shop full of prettiness I could not help myself ...
and bought a Maileg bunny... a new big sister

...after shopping we stopped for afternoon tea before saying farewell
Thank you so much Maria I had a wonderful day and if you are ever down my way my tea pot will be ready with her cosy on too! ...Thea xx
PS thank you so much for the pretty gifts xx
( the first 7 photos have been sourced from Google as we chatted so much I forgot to take any photos)

Mondays are for...*~*

I know I should be doing the ironing...

But...It was such a lovely day
instead I popped out into the garden with a mug of tea in my hand...
just to enjoy the sunshine, the spring flowers...

and listen to the birds singing..they are so loud, all marking their territories with their songs...so beautiful

pretty hellebores brighten a shady spot...I could stay out here all day

Then stepping back into the kitchen I looked at Maud and she tempted me away from  ....
this...
to making this....
A lovely rye bread...

and then I just could not help myself I just had to have a peep in my new book...

then just as I was going to pick the iron up the postman knocked with a special delivery for me! a beautiful little handmade vintage pin cushion from Gill  at gillyflower http://gillyflower5.blogspot.co.uk so pretty...Thank you so very much Gill xx
 Oh no it's still there!!!

There at last it is done...until tomorrow anyway...Thea xx
